"The Red Pyramid" by Rick Riordan, is a story that takes some of the elements that made his "Percy Jackson" books famous and incorporates them into a new story using Egyptian mythology. The story is about Carter and Sadie; two children that have grown apart. One lives with their grandparents, the other with their father. Their mother passed on due to mysterious circumstances. When their father gets them together to take a tour of the British Museum reality gets turned on its side when their father disappears, the children get kidnapped, and five Egyptian gods get released into the world. The children learn they can use magic and they will go on a great adventure to stop Set. If you like adventure, magic and fantasy, try this book out.
