Here is the start of the review:

Those who believe they love nothing more than they love food, and those who believe that they hate nothing more than they hate food. Roth tells the stories of many women who are caught in a tug of war between these feelings. They love to hate food; they hate to love it. (Read More)

A Review of Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert

Once again Elizabeth Gilbert has given her readers a book long on charm. This time it is about marriage. She writes like a journalist. Her style is one most often found in an eight paragraph op-ed. A catchy idea and some utterly delightful one liners. It is nothing short of remarkable that she can sustain this for eight chapters.

A Powerful Memoir

"The Glass Castle" is a memoir written by Jeannette Walls. It takes a look at a family that is not only very dysfunctional, but very unique. With a drunkard father, and a mother that doesn't want to be tied down to family life, the children have to grow up fast. The children take care of each other and protect each other as they grow up. The memoir shows the struggle of growing up and the pain of being successful, while the parents are homeless. This is an intense book that shows even if some aspects of family life are terrible, people can find a way to not only survive, but prosper. Take a read and let us know what you think of it!
