A Gripping Story of WWII

Laura Hillenbrand’s book “Unbroken: A World War II Story of  Survival, Resilience, and Redemption” is about Louis Zamperini – an Olympian and a soldier. This book tells the story of his rise as a track star, to being shot down over the Pacific, to his time captured by Japan as a POW. “Unbroken” shows this non-fiction story in a way that keeps you interested in the events. It also doesn’t hold back in its description of the war in the Pacific or the POW camps. If you are interested in World War II history, this is a must read! If you have read it, let us know what you thought in the comments!

  1. I loved this book and could not put it down, even though I'm not a fan of war novels. The same with Seabiscuit. This would make a beautiful movie.
